  • Dissolve yeast in lukewarm water.
  • Combine butter, molasses, honey, and salt in a large bowl. Mix well.
  • Add yeast mixture. Stir. Slowly add flours, flax and vital gluten while mixing.
  • Turn onto lightly floured surface and knead until smooth and elastic.
  • Place in a lightly oiled bowl and let rise until doubled, about an hour.
  • Punch down to remove most of the volume. Let rest a few minutes.
  • Knead just to get dough back into a ball-shape and cut in half. Shape both halves into loaves and place in greased pans.
  • Let rise one hour.
  • Bake at 375 degrees for 35-40 minutes.
