  1. Good, basic bread recipe.

  2. Very easy to make and it came out perfect. The only problem was that the loaf only lasted about an hour before my husband and daughter gobbled it up! Thanks much for the recipe I will be making it often.

  3. We love this bread!! I make the dough in my bread machine then take it out and bake it in the oven I can't make enough of it!!! I made 5 loafs before I got to try it for a turkey sandwich and then I only managed to get one out of that with the kids around. Thaks so much for this wonderful recipe!!!

  4. This was yummy! It smelled so good as it baked! The only thing I changed was I activated the yeast in warm sugar water first. It rose so high and was absolutely beautiful.

  5. I really liked this loaf. I altered a couple of details though. I put the butter in after the water. I decreased the salt to one teaspoon and decreased the sugar to one and a half tablespoons. The extra salt and sugar wasn't missed. I substituted about one quarter cup of the flour for ground flax seed. That adds nutrition to the loaf, and gives it a pretty flecked look too! My daughter and I ate a good portion of it fresh out of the machine. Mmmm!
