A famous bread recipe from a cafe in Melbourne.
- 2 1⁄2 cups coconut
- 5 cups self-raising flour
- 2 cups raw sugar
- 1 egg
- 125 g melted butter
- 600 ml milk
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
- 1⁄2 tablespoon clove powder
- Mix all dry ingredients together and make a well.
- Whisk eggs lightly and add to milk and butter.
- Mix into flour mixture, dont overmix.
- Pour into 2 greased loaf tins.
- Bake in preheated 180 Degrees C oven for 45 minutes.
