"This is a wonderful fruity mulled apple drink that will warm you inside and out. The recipe from my friend Betty B. who serves it every year at her annual Christmas party. It is one of my children's favorite Christmas traditions."

  1. I really loved this drink and the fact it uses 3 types of fruit juice plus, of course, Red Hots! I have a cold and this made me feel better -- well at least mentally, LOL.

  2. This wassail is absolutely addictive and delightful! My mom used to make wassail during the holidays, but her recipe called for a lot of red hots. So, I was really happy to find a recipe that used a lot less. This was my first time to make wassail myself, due to the fact that neither my husband nor my children like it. Fortunately for me, my new son-in-law loves it and he and I went through two recipes worth in two days! I must confess that I didn't have any cinnamon sticks and just used ground cinnamon AND I didn't see the water in the recipe and failed to add it. Oops! I also added some to a glass diet Sierra Mist - yummy!

I live in the San Francisco area and love it here. I discovered Recipezaar (then Food.com..Genius Kitchen) in 2001 and have been so happy to have my favorite recipes stored safely here. I am mother to 7 and grandmother to 7. I love to knit, smock, sew, etc., but my favorite hobby of the moment is traditional rug hooking. This is a sample of what I do.? It's called "November".? I dyed most of the wool myself. It is made from wool flannel, cut into strips a little less than 1/4" and then worked into a linen backing. This is my 3rd rug.
