V's Southwestern Dip

"Combined a few of my favorite spices and added it to a sourcream and mayonaise base and Viola, a spicy southwestern dip was born. Served with several different kinds of chips and vegies or topping for burritos or anything you add sour cream to.... this will be a repeat!"

• Ingredients: 8
• Yields: 2 1/2 cups
• Serves: 6

ingredients

• 2 cups sour cream
• 1 cup mayonnaise

• DRY MIX

• 1 tablespoon parsley
• 1 tablespoon dried onion flakes
• 1 tablespoon dried chives
• 1 tablespoon cumin
• 1 teaspoon salt
• 1⁄2 tablespoon cayenne pepper

directions

1. Mix sour cream and mayonaise together in a bowl.
2. Mix dry ingredients in a separate bowl.
3. Add dry spices to sour cream and mayonaise mixture Refrigerate for 2 hours to allow flavors to meld.

Delicious! I love it when I find a new dip that takes me away from the standard Onion or Veggie dips that I usually end up making. This is fresh and not spicy, just a little bit of a kick. We enjoyed this with crisp fresh veggies, and it was devoured. Simple to make and a real crowd pleaser, try this one the next time you need to make veggies and dip for a pot luck, or just whip it up for your family for a snack, it's sure to please! :)
