This is an Emeril Lagasse recipe from the food network.
- 56.69 g vodka
- 44.37 ml heavy cream
- 29.58 ml vanilla-flavored syrup
- 14.79 ml Amaretto
- 1.23 ml vanilla extract
- vanilla sugar, for the glass rim
- 1 vanilla bean
- Combine all ingredients in a cocktail shaker filled with ice cubes and shake to chill thoroughly.
- Place the vanilla sugar in a shallow bowl or small plate. Moisten the rim of the glass with a little of the cocktail mixture or water and dip the moistened rim into the sugar to coat the edge.
- Strain the cocktail into the glass.
- Using a sharp paring knife, cut the bean lengthwise, leaving it attached on 1 end, so that it can sit on top of the glass rim. Serve chilled.
Loved this creamy vanilla goodness! I made vanilla syrup using my Flavored Sugar or Splenda with some water heated till dissolved and slightly thickened. I did up the amaretto to 2 tablespoons. Also used vanilla vodka. Skipped the vanilla extract for I had the real thing. This is an expensive drink but this Goddess deserves it! ;)
