When it starts getting cold outside, it's time to make this soup. It's an extremely quick and easy family-pleaser. It's also great to take to work or a football game, packed in a preheated Thermos. Simply fill the Thermos with hot water and let it sit while the soup is heating. Dump the water out and refill it with the soup.
- 1 (10 1/2 ounce) can tomato soup
- 1 -2 beef bouillon cube, to taste (can also use equivalent paste or powder)
- water (I use 2 soup cans full)
- Combine all ingredients, making sure the bouillon is completely dissolved.
- Simmer til hot.
Tasting this soup really brought back childhood memories. My mother used to make this for us with grilled cheese sandwiches and I had competely forgotten about it, so this was a pleasant surprise and total comfort food for me. Made for Spring 2012 Pick A Chef.
