This is a Tyler Florene recipe I got from Food Network. I've always disliked Margaritas made with sour mix, now I'll never have to drink one again. I've tried soooo many recipes, but this is the best by far. The only way I changed the original was to double the sugar.
- 118.29 ml fresh lime juice
- 29.58 ml sugar
- 59.14 ml Cointreau liqueur
- 59.14 ml triple sec
- 236.59 ml tequila
- 113.39-170.09 g beer (light mexican beer is recommended)
- Combine lime juice, sugar, Cointreau, Triple Sec, tequila, and a big handful of ice in a cocktail shaker. Shake 30 seconds, add the beer, but do not shake. Strain into salt rimmed glasses (optional, I don't like it) filled with ice. Garnish with a lime slice.
Sounds very......Very....Very Interesting!!!!
Mmmmmm... beer in the margarita is something new and interesting, it sort of cuts the edge, but not too much. I think I like it and would never guess it was there!
