Great during colder weather when you are having company over.
- 6 cups boiling water
- 6 tea bags
- 1 1⁄2 cups orange juice
- 1 1⁄2 cups pineapple juice
- 1⁄3 cup sugar
- 1 medium orange, halved and sliced
- 2 tablespoons honey
- In a 5 quart slow cooker combine boiling water and tea bags. Cover and let stand 5 minutes.
- Discard tea bags. Stir in remaining ingredients. Cover and cook on low 2-4 hours or until heated through. Serve warm.
Very "holidayish" tea. Quite good, but tea should be brewed just a little bit longer, as the tea was overshadowed by the juices. Also didn't add sugar as the juices were sweet enough, IMO, with the addition of the honey. Of course, this is only one opinion! Thnx for posting, Julie. Made for Fall 2008 My-3-Chefs.
