directions

  • Make a foil packet (needs to be pretty sturdy). Slice the potaoes in medium to thin slices, sprinkle with garlic salt and pepper. Slice onions & put on top of potatoes. Use stick butter & cut slices of butter to cover the potatoes fairly well.
  • Wrap foil up, punch fork holes on top. Place on grill and cook for about 20-30 minutes (we usually put this on first and prepare other food while its cooking).
  • These are so good!
  • During the winter, you may do the same as above except line them in a baking dish and cook for 30 minutes or so on 350.

  1. I make these all the time during the winter I will put them in the over and I dont' poke holes in the foil to cook them faster. Once and a while I will add soem seasoning salt intstead of plain salt.

  2. Although I didn't find these addictive, they were pretty tasty and moist.

  3. I have been making these for about 25 years, they are great,I don,t prick the foil. I also do yams except I slice the yams but not all the way through and I put a slice of onions in between, garlic, butter, salt, pepper.Wrap in foil but do not prick the foil as you lose the butter.

I am a stay at home mom of 3 girls ages 16,14, and 12...My 16 year old has acted like she was 30 since she was 2, and strongwilled as well...so life is never dull around here. I love surfing the web and taking care of my children. If I had a month off I would take my kids to as many vacation spots as I could and enjoy our time together. Since my children are younger, I could use kid friendly recipes and delicious casserole dishes that I can make for me when I have to cater to their favorite foods. Recipezaar has inspired me to be interested in cooking and sharing recipes! Thanks My Pet Peeves~Don't Touch My Hair Or Feet!
