Easy!! Goes well as a side dish. Try using splenda in place of the sugar! Found this in a school cookbook while in Nurenburg, Germany.

This is the way my Nana always made fried apples and its the way I make them now except I do add a dash of cinnamon and neither of us ever used a lid. These are so easy and so delicious. The way i'll always make fried apples. Thanks for posting!

Ingredients Nutrition


  1. Wash and core apples.
  2. Cut apples in quarters and slice each quarter into 3 of 4 sections.
  3. Put in heavy skillet, sprinkle with sugar, and add margarine.
  4. Cover and cook on medium heat for 10 to 15 minutes.
  5. Uncover and cook 10 to 15 minutes until apples are tender and transparent.
