    A refreshing simple version of the rose flavoured drink that tastes slightly of sheesha (flavored tobacco).

    Ingredients:

    Serves: 1

    Yield:

    glass

    Units: US | Metric

    • 3/4 cup chilled water
    • 3 tablespoons date syrup (dibis also called date molasses)
    • 2 teaspoons rose water (I prefer Iranian)
    • crushed ice
    • 1 tablespoon pine nuts or 1 tablespoon blanched almond halve

    Directions:

      Mix all but nuts.

      Top with them.

      Enjoy on a warm day or night!

      INTERESTING. very tasty. the nuts were a bit odd & different but not bad. I think I'll go have another one now....made for Ramadan Tag 2010. :)

      We had this same drink at a new favorite Lebanese restaurant except they used club soda in place of water. When I tested your recipe I used water and it was just as delicious and refreshing. We loved fishing for the pine nuts on the bottom of our glasses! ;) Thanks for posting!
