This could be made with canned asparagus, just substitute your juice from the can in place of the chicken broth. 1 can of asparagus would be about right I think
Very good and easy to make. I followed the recipe exactly as written. I cooked my asparagus 30 minutes and it could have been cooked just a bit longer for me (I like it soft). Next time I would cut the broth and milk by half as it was too much sauce but that didn't change the taste. We all loved this. Made for Spring PAC 2011.

This was so good; at least 5 stars. That cheese sauce was super good. It took 25 minutes for the asparagus to be cooked to my liking. I made this for WT3; thanks for posting. Rita
