I had this for a bit of a naughty breakfast treat yesterday. What I enjoyed though was that it wasn't actually all that naughty. We don't have half and half in the UK, so I used light soy milk but other than that kept with the recipe. It was a bit thick, I agree, but I just upped the quantity of soy milk to think it out slightly. Made for vegetarian swap.

Made as written and found it to be a bit too thick. I re-did it with an extra 1/4 cup half-and-half, and it was just right. The taste was very good ( I used dark cocoa). I would cut the sweetener down next time, but that is a personal taste-I don't use much sweetener in my coffee. The best thing about it is not having to brew coffee and letting it cool. I always keep a jar of espresso powder on hand just for this type of treat.
