As anyone who is avoiding sugar knows, barbecue sauce is on the no-no list. I finally decided to come up with my own.
- 1⁄4 cup tomato paste
- 1 cup diet cola
- 1⁄2 tablespoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon worchestershire sauce
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1⁄2 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1⁄2 teaspoon ground red pepper
- 1⁄4 teaspoon sugar substitute
- 1 dash cinnamon
- Combine all ingredients in a saucepan and bring to boil. Simmer 5 minutes. Cool, cover and refrigerate.
