Spiced Cocoa Mix

"I made this recipe up in high school as a treat for shoveling the driveway after many New England snow storms. Now I make a huge batch every fall for my kids to enjoy. This year I gave our mason jars of it for Christmas and it was a huge hit so I'm posting the recipe."

ingredients

• 473.18 ml sugar
• 236.59 ml unsweetened baking cocoa
• 9.85 ml cinnamon
• 4.92 ml allspice
• 1.23 ml salt

directions

1. Sift the cocoa in a bowl and add the other ingredients. Mix together with a wire whisk.
2. When you would like to enjoy a cup of cocoa warm up a mug of milk. 1-2 minutes in the microwave depending on the size of the mug or heat the milk on the stove top. Add 1-2 tablespoons of cocoa to the milk once it's heated. Stir until dissolved. Makes 24 servings.
