This is from Dec/Jan TOH. I don't see any reason this couldn't be done in the crock pot. When I make it, I will probably omit the sugar.

  1. In a large saucepan, bring the water, lemons, oranges and spices to a boil.
  2. Reduce heat; cover and simmer for 1 hour.
  3. Strain and discard the fruit and spices.
  4. Stir in the cider and sugar and heat through before serving.
