Needed a white cake (requested favorite) for friends 12th Anniversary and decided to give this a try. I'm not much of a baker OR a cake decorator but this one came together easy with things I had on hand and the results was light, fluffy and full of rich vanilla flavor with just a hint of the almond. I did use recipe#215952 as a filling to give it something a little extra and it was a hit with the crowd. So good, thanks for posting

I believe this is the same recipe my mother-in-law used to make and I loved it so much! I had the recipe, but lost it. I just came it in Taste of Home, June/July 2007 and was going to add it here for safe-keeping. Thanks for posting it! I will review it when I make it!
