- 56.69 g butter
- 113.39 g brown sugar
- 5 fluid ounce heavy cream
- 198.44 g madeira cake (or similar)
- 14.79 ml butter
- custard, to serve
directions
- Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
- Put the butter, sugar and cream in a small pan, stirring gently until the mixture is well blended.
- Roughly crumble the cake into a small, buttered ovenproof dish.
- Pour over the sauce and cook in the oven for 10 minutes until bubbling.
- Spoon into bowls and serve with custard.
