Short-cut Sticky Toffee Pudding

"I found this in a college cookbook. It's a shortcut, (15 minutes), that works really well. Tastes good, too."

ingredients

• 56.69 g butter
• 113.39 g brown sugar
• 5 fluid ounce heavy cream
• 198.44 g madeira cake (or similar)
• 14.79 ml butter
• custard, to serve

directions

1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees F.
2. Put the butter, sugar and cream in a small pan, stirring gently until the mixture is well blended.
3. Roughly crumble the cake into a small, buttered ovenproof dish.
4. Pour over the sauce and cook in the oven for 10 minutes until bubbling.
5. Spoon into bowls and serve with custard.
