  1. This was the perfect breakfast this morning! I used Oregon-made Nancy's brand plain yogurt (in which was added a drop or two of vanilla extract), local wildflower honey, too! Easy and quick to make. Prepared for Make My Recipe Downunder and Recipe Swap #83 in the Australian/NZ forum.

  2. this was good i used almonds. i liked the creaminess of the yogurt with this. sorry im late sweety

  3. I tried unsalted pistachios, as well as pecans and macadamias, and liked all three combinations with the banana. I love plain yogurt, but didn't care for its tang on this. For the semolina/milk ratio, I decided to follow the package instructions, which directed you to use 50% more semolina for the same amount of milk, but stated that it served 2, instead of 4 (and I found out it did indeed serve 2). Thanks for an enjoyable breakfast!

  4. I first have to say that I skipped the honey to lower the sugars (for me 22g's sugar is a LOT) and mixed some Splenda into the cereal. Also, as I'm looking at the recipe right now I totally forgot the yogurt. Still, I enjoyed the banana-nut combo. Personally I think I would like pecans or walnuts better only because of the salt/sweet mix that the pistachios added. I don't dislike a salty/sweet mix but I would prefer not to have it for brekkie. A solid 4 stars from me.

  5. Very nice and easy way to kick up morning semolina! I always cook my semolina on skim milk - so that was nothing new - but I loved the addition of bananas, honey, and pistachios - they blended so well together. I skipped on the yogurt since anything more on top of the semolina would be too too filling. Thanks for a great treat!

RECIPE SUBMITTED BY

With the demise of the forums and with no more interaction on site with what was a great community and it was a pleasure to get to know so many of you over the years and to have had the privilege of meeting some of you in person. For me now this is just another recipe site like to many on the net, it has lost its specialness, such a pity especially when Scripps changed the name from Recipezaar to Food.com and made this statement sorry cannot replicate here as considered invalid but they basically said yes the community was valuable hence .com was short for community but it was a pack of lies as they were not willing to put the money into that community and got rid of the forums which was the community so for .com has become .crap.
