  • Place beans, water and savory in a saucepan.
  • Place pan on medium-high heat.
  • Bring water to a simmer and cook, uncovered, until liquid is almost gone, stirring occasionally.
  • Stir in butter and cook, stirring, just until butter is melted.
  • Stir in soy sauce and sesame seeds.

I was a little different in the way I prepared this dish, in that I steamed the beans until they were almost tender, then added the savory to the butter, soy & sesame seeds & tossed the beans in that mixture! A great way to dress up the ol' bean! Will be keeping this recipe around! Thanks for sharing it! [Made & reviewed as a THANK YOU for tagging in PRMR during the recent Tic-Tac-Toe event]
     
  2. Great idea! I loved the flavors here, just make sure to let almost all the water eveporate...I had a little too much left and it washed out the flavor of the butter, soy sauce and sesame. Made for PAC spring '11.
