  • Put dry cookie mix and dry pudding mix in a bowl, stir. Prepare cookies according to directions, adding egg and shortening as needed. Stir in nuts and cherries until incorporated. Spoon onto cookie sheets using rounded tablespoon measure.
  • Bake in preheated 325 oven for 9 to 13 minutes or to desired doneness. Cool on a wire rack.
