This is quite possibly the best potato soup you will ever eat, PERIOD! When cooking the bacon, make sure to cook the bacon until it is COMPLETLY crispy.

  1. Wash and peel potatoes.
  2. Cook bacon until completely crispy.
  3. Drain bacon, and keep 1/4 cup bacon grease.
  4. Cut potatoes into quarters.
  5. Crush bacon into small pieces.
  6. Combine all ingredients in a large stock pot.
  7. Heat over medium heat until the soup comes to a boil stirring frequently. Lower heat to low and continue to simmer until the potatoes are soft stirring regularly.
