This is our favorite spice cake. This cooked very well in a bundt pan. We don't do the icing, it does not need it. You can also sprinkle with powdered sugar for presentation. I have a bundt pan that looks like a mountain range, then I sprinkle with the powdered sugar on it looks like snow on the mountains!

What a great cake recipe. I was intrigued by the "weird, secret ingredient" and had to try this recipe. No on would ever guess this had pork and beans in it. I used the blender to blend the beans into liquid. My DH guessed the secret was pineapple; a friend guessed carrots. Boy, were they surprised when I told them the real ingredient. This cake reminds many of a carrot-type cake. This would be a great conversation starter at a pot luck or company function. 5 stars for wacky ingredient, 5 stars for taste, and 5 stars for moist cake. Good job!
