I made this last night with some home-made chicken broth based soup (I made a soup with chicken broth, potatos, celery, carrots, a bit of onion powder, garlic seasoning, pepper, and then I threw the dumplings I made with this recipe into it. It came out so good my boyfriend ate seconds and practically licked the bowl clean. I am so glad I found this recipe, because this is the exact version of "dumplings" my great Aunt used to make for me all the time, (she passed from cancer back when I was in 8th grade, and never got the chance to teach me how to make these even though we planned on doing so together) regardless, whenever she would make them, she would call it her "chicken and angel dumplings" but whenever I would ask other family members about it, they thought when I said 'dumplings' that I was asking about the other kind of dumplings (I guess like chinese, japanese, or other asian style dumplings with meat inside of them) which is TOTALLY different. THIS is the dumplings I remember from childhood, and this post has taught me exactly how to make them!
