  1. Well, Inez, you've done it again! Made this for a quick dinner, except doubled the pasta. It was very good and especially easy. It was a little dry because of the added pasta, but the flavor was great and ALL 4 kids AND my husband absolutely went crazy over it! I think I may try adding some pepperoni next time, and some pizza sauce. Served with crusty italian bread and butter and we had dinner in no time. Thanks for sharing!

  2. My family really enjoyed this one. It's quick & easy. A real kid pleaser. Thanks

  3. Fantastic! Very fast recipe to prepare. I used 4 cups of medium sized egg noodles and added one clove of garlic. I think you could even add a can of drained mushrooms. Thanks for posting this winning recipe.

  4. I chose this because now that school has started, I need something that is fast and easy and yes, my kids have to like it. This was just right for us. I added 1 t. minced garlic in with the ground beef and onion. I also added just a little salt and pepper to the sauce. The whole family really liked this and I was glad to get out of the kitchen fast. Thanks Inez.

  5. This was awesome. I think recipes like this are the new face of American comfort food. I did make a few changes. I substituted a jar of Ragu pizza sauce in place of the dry mix and water. I still added the tomato sauce though as I used 3 cups of pasta. I also added some chopped up pepperoni and a handful of mushrooms. I also used about a 3/4 teaspoon of the spice mixture used to make Debbie's crockpot chili (#45069)as my husband and I like some spice. When I saw how much the recipe was going to make, I dumped it all into a 13x9 inch pan and topped with the cheese -- needed about 2 cups. I know -- an extra dish to wash, but I have a nice tight-fitting lid for the casserole dish and I'd have to find something to put the leftovers in anyway. I hope to post a picture soon. Definitely a keeper. Thanks for sharing.

After DH and I moved away from the farm, and to the city...I haven't done as much cooking and very little canning. But I do come to Zaar and look for new recipes once in a while. I'm still cooking Zaar!! I like to play at Facebook, with my family and friends. A lot of my Zaar friends are there!! Yay! It's a good way to keep in touch. We travel more. We're looking at the European trips now. Hope to go in the springtime. I really want to see London, I think I lived there in a past life, I've been obsessed with it since I was 10 years old!!
