Pizza Grilled Cheese

"A super quick and easy meal that everyone in your family will love, even the picky ones. My mom used to make this for dinner all the time when I was growing up. My brother and sister still love it as much as me!"

directions

  • Butter the bread like you would to make a normal grilled cheese.
  • Put a piece of cheese on the butter side down piece of bread.
  • Put a generous amount of spaghetti sauce on the piece of cheese.
  • Add what ever pizza toppings you like-remember, you have to flip this so too many toppings will make this difficult.
  • Add another piece of cheese on top of the toppings.
  • Butter the other piece of bread and put it butter side up on top.
  • Cook until golden brown on each side. Enjoy!

  1. Yum! We made this for lunch today and Little Miss (DD) and I both enjoyed it. I made a vegetarian version and left out the pepperoni and added red onions, but Little Miss had the exact recipe. It was quick, easy and versatile to any diet. Thank you Little Cook

  2. My family really liked it. We went with shredded cheese and a bunch of mini pepperoni. I had to make extra because they kept disappearing!

  3. This is one of my favourite supper dishes. But I have a Croque Monsieur machine, so I just put them in, they brown on both sides, and no turning.

  4. Absolutely love these! My husband made one for me years ago and I was hooked. Tho I prefer to make sause on the side and dip, but either way it's a winner.

  5. This Is Kinda Dry, It Could Use Cheese Sauce Too. Other Than That, Its A 4 Star amazing Sandwich.

Tweaks

  1. Try using Light Rye bread, substitute pepperoni with genoa salami and instead of tomato sauce; try Tomato paste. Mozzerella cheese is a must with this version. Butter the bread and sprinkle with oregano before browning. Delicious!!

I'm a stay at home wife and hopefully in a year a stay at home mom. I love to cook and do so as often as possible. Some of the recipies I post are family recipies that are tried and true; others are ones I have come up with on my own and my fiancee loves. My favorite cookbook is the one that was given to me on Christmas from my fiancee's family. It is all recipies from his family and I am also adding ones of my own. Other than cooking for fun I enjoy the weather. Whether its sunny or rainy or snowing I find a way to enjoy it.
