I adapted the recipe from "Pita Chips" on so that I would have a single serving that meets the Weight Watchers daily oil requirement. One serving is 4 points. If I am not making more than one serving, I use my toaster oven and reduce the cooking time. (These are so good that I can't make myself stop eating them if I make more than one serving at a time!) Sometimes I tear the pita apart so that I end up with 16 chips instead of 8.


  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Combine oil, basil, salt, and pepper. Brush onto pita.
  3. Cut pita into eighths and place the slices on a cookie sheet.
  4. Bake for about 7 minutes, or until lightly browned and crispy.
