Perfect Pie Crust

"I always used to use store bought pie crusts but this one is so easy to make and is pretty fool proof. Thanks to my mother-in-law I am now able to make a great flaky crust!"

  • Blend the flour and shortening together in a large bowl (hands work best).
  • Slowly add the water while combining until you get desired texture. If you add too much water just sprinkle in a bit more flour.
  • Divide into 4 balls and roll out on a floured surface.
  • If you want a cooked pie crust bake on 400 for about 10 minutes.
