I discovered this recipe two years ago. It's great for brunch on lazy weekends when you can sleep late.

Directions

  1. Combine first 6 ingredients (flour through red pepper).
  2. Cut in shortening with pastry blender until mixture is crumbly.
  3. Stir in pepperoni.
  4. Add milk stirring until moist.
  5. Turn dough onto lightly floured surface and knead a few times.
  6. Roll out dough and cut with biscuit cutter.
  7. Place on lightly greased baking sheet.
  8. Bake at 425 for 13 to 15 minutes.
  9. Serve with a bowl of hot cheddar cheese soup.
  10. Delicious!

What a great recipe and much quicker than a yeast based dough! I cut out the red pepper due to my DH's stomach and they were still delicious! Thanks for sharing!

These are wonderful, not too spicy, great flavor. I like to dip them in hot cheese soup!
