  1. Preheat oven to 400°F.
  2. Stir all ingredients in small baking pan to coat almonds.
  3. Arrange in single layer.
  4. Bake until coating is crisp and almonds are toasted, stirring occasionally, about 12 minutes.
  5. Cool.

I used whole almonds, too. I roasted them in a small cast iron skillet. The seasonings didn't stick to the almonds. :( There were gobs of yumminess amongst the almonds. I'm not sure how to fix this. Made for Pepper Tag in the Photo Forum 3/12 except I forgot that at the time & don't have a photo.

I roasted whole almonds for a total of 10 minutes, stirring only once at 5 minutes. When I opened the oven at 10 minutes to stir them again, the oven was filled with smoke and I thought my smoke detector would alarm! I immediately removed them from the oven to cool underneath my range hood fan! Much of the pepper was left on the bottom of my pan, and I don't detect any hint of sweetness!
