The Daiquiri originated in Cuba, in the nickel-mining town of Daiquiri. Originally it was made with limes, but nowadays many different fruits are used. From the Barbecue Bible
- 3⁄4 cup passion fruit juice
- 2⁄3 cup light rum
- 6 tablespoons firmly packed light brown sugar
- 3 cups crushed ice
- Combine all ingredients in a blender. Process until smooth.
- Pour into martini glasses and serve immediately.
Puts my Drive-Thru Daiquiri Shop to shame...and experience, I have plenty.
