Parmesan Sauce (Super Easy)

"Super easy parmesan cream sauce that works great with noodles or on top of chicken. I use skim milk to make it a bit nicer on the hips instead of the traditional heavy cream or half and half."

  1. I used two tablespoons butter instead of teaspoons, whole milk and shaved parm (because that's what I had on hand.) The parm was salty enough that I didn't need to add any salt. I love a simple, quick recipe that you can make a few modifications to without ruining it!

  2. This was my first time successfully making a roux ( though it was no thanks to this recipe ), So I may have done something wrong, but the measurements for this sauce seemed completely off. I am used approx. 2.5 tbspn butter, 1.5 to cups milk, and 3 or 4 tbspn flour (only because 2 cups of milk was way too much and I didn't want milk noodles)

  3. I think it was good. Very easy and quick to make.

  4. This came out great! Threw in some shrimp over pasta!

  5. I made homemade noodles and brown some sausage with onions mixed them together and then put the sauce over it.... I did change the skim milk to raw milk cause living in the country I use raw milk in everything I cook and this was awesome and the guys even enjoyed it.

My husband and I were married on November 3rd, 2007 so no longer in the newlywed stage but still loving every minute of it. We just moved back to our hometown of Springfield after a year in the south for the military. My husband is an Army officer in the Guard and I am going back to school to pursue a career in nursing. We are expecting our first little one in April and we CANT wait!! I absolutely love to cook and was in love as soon as I found this site. As I come across recipes of old and new ones I discover I will be quick to share.
