This is such an easy and delicious side dish. I have used fat free half and half before with great results so this doesn't have to be a high calorie dish.
- 16 ounces frozen peas, thawed
- 1 cup cream
- 1⁄2 cup parmesan cheese
- 1⁄8 teaspoon pepper
- 1⁄8 teaspoon salt
- In a skillet or saucepan warm peas over medium heat until heated through. Add the half and half or cream and parmesan cheese until cheese has melted.
Thumbs up from everyone in my family who tasted these peas. So very simple to make and takes no time at all. I used heavy cream and a parmesan blend shredded cheese. These were good and easy to make. I followed the recipe exactly as written other then I used canned peas instead of frozen as I am not crazy about frozen veggies. I also used half and half instead of cream. Nice, easy side dish.
