Very tasty side dish with an oriental flair. I got this from a coworker of mine. YUMMY!
- 2 cups long grain rice (white)
- 3 1⁄2 cups cold water
- 1 (1 1/4 ounce) envelope onion soup mix
- 1 cup chopped green pepper
- 1 cup chopped celery
- 1 cup chopped mushroom
- 1⁄3 cup vegetable oil
- 1⁄2 cup soy sauce
- Mix all together in a 9x13 pan and seal tightly with foil. Bake at 350 degrees for about 1 1/4 to 1 1/2 hours. Stir and serve.
This was good. Added some leftover cooked hamburger to make it a main meal. My husband and I enjoyed it. Thanks for a quick easy dinner/ side dish!
