Orange Peel Vodka

"A great citrus vodka. Can also use Lemon or lime peel in place of the orange."

• Yields: 3 cups

• 3 large oranges
• 3 cups vodka

directions

1. Wash the oranges.
2. Using a zester of vegetable peeler, peel the skin to create narrow ribbons.
3. Scrape away any remaining pith.
4. Put the peel into a large jar and add the vodka.
5. Store in a dark, dry place for about 2 weeks, shaking the jar occasionally.
6. Strain through cheesecloth, discard the peel and store in a bottle ready for use.
