Old West BBQ Short Ribs and Noodles

Another one from my bag of old recipes. Omit the additional water and noodles and serve with pinto beans for a change.

  1. In a large Dutch oven, brown ribs in cooking oil, drain.
  2. Combine onions, tomato sauce, 1 cup water, brown sugar, vinegar, salt, dry mustard, Worcestershire sauce and add to ribs.
  3. Simmer, covered about 3 hours or until ribs are tender.
  4. Add additional water and noodles, cover and cook until noodles are tender.

I made this recipe last Sunday and my family loved it! I did brown the ribs in a little bit of flour and butter first,it really gave it a velvety texture and I used red wine vinegar and a brown mustard, it's all I had. This is a really easy recipe and the aroma thru the house all day is just mouth watering!! I'll be making this again for sure!! lil'rhody
