My Mom's Sour Cream Cookies

Remembered this cookie recipe from childhood. It tastes better when Mom makes it.

  1. Heat oven to 425°F.
  2. Mix shortening, margarine, sugar, egg and vanilla.
  3. Stir in remaining ingredients except sugar.
  4. Divide dough into 3 equal parts.
  5. Roll each part 1/4-inch thick on a lightly floured cloth-covered board.
  6. Cut with a 2-inch cookie cutter; sprinkle with sugar.
  7. Place on ungreased cookie sheet.
  8. Bake until no imprint remains when lightly touched, about 6- 8 minutes.
