  1. My guests LOVED this. I followed your instructions exactly and the result is a great make-ahead appetizer. I served this with assorted crackers. Thanks Jeff for ANOTHER great recipe. :-)

  2. I used 1/2 teaspoon each of the garlic salt and the onion salt. When it was in a nice ball and chilled, I rolled it in finely chopped walnuts. It made a pretty good sized ball, but it went away very quick! This has a great taste. I served it with an assortment of crackers. It was especially good with the new cracked pepper cracker from Ritz. I'm making this again for Christmas Eve! Thanks, Jeff!

  3. I was so glad to find this recipe while choosing a recipe for Chef Jeff's Cookathon! I made it alot in the 1980's, but then lost the recipe. I use garlic powder to taste instead of garlic salt. Since it is a large cheese ball, I brought it to many parties. The recipe is great as written, but I served it yesterday adding some diced up red and green pepper for color. In the past I've also added finely-sliced green onion tops or a jar of Kraft Roka Blue Cheese Spread in lieu of fresh blue cheese.

  4. Excellent recipe, J! This went together in short order ... I divided it up into two portions ... Made it easier to handle that way. Great flavor and looked great on the serving plate with assorted crackers. My compliments to your Mom ... This one's a winner, for sure! Laudee
