A basic coffee unwinder.
- 12 ounces strong coffee, hot
- 5⁄8 ounce Swiss Miss diet cocoa mix
- 4 ounces Kahlua
- Either split ingredients between 2 mugs, or put all in a 20-ounce travel mug.
- Stir and enjoy.
Oh. Yeah. Wow, this is a potent java! Living in the sticks here, I did have to use what I have... Power was out, so I made the coffee nice and strong in a traditional Costa Rican drip bag (using awesome Costa Rican coffee grown right up the mountain from us!). Can't get Kahlua, but used a locally produced coffee liqueur. And Swiss Miss? Forget it, made my own with cocoa powder and powdered milk. No problem! Sitting here, watching a huge rain and thunderstorm roll in from the sea, but I'm nice and snug here with my amazing java. Thanks for posting! Made for Culinary Quest 2014.
Great Mocha flavor. I really enjoyed this tasty drink. I made this as written and wouldn't change a thing. I garnished with whipped cream and a sprinkling of hot chocolate mix. Made for Culinary Quest 2014 - Suitcase Gourmets
It's cool enough this evening in Seattle that I enjoyed a hot drink. I used Starbucks decaff, and Jaques Torres drinking chocolate in place of the Swiss Miss (like coffee and beer, we take our chocolate seriously too!) I nice treat. Made for Cruisin Culinary Queens
