Long time family favorite, handed down from my great grandmother.
- 3 cups 2% low-fat milk
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons cinnamon
- 1⁄3 cup sugar
- 1 tablespoon butter
- 6 slices white bread, toasted
- Heat milk , vanilla, cinnamon, butter and sugar to a simmer.
- Tear up toast into pieces and add to the milk.
- Mix until toast is softened.
