- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 tablespoon vanilla

- Mix cream cheese and brown sugar until creamy with mixer.
- Add vanilla and dip fresh apple slices.

Greetings!!! My name is Mary Lou and I live in Ottumwa, Iowa the home of Comedian TOM ARNOLD. Isnt he a blast? I went to school with his sister, Lori and he is just a few years younger than I am.I just turned 51 and love to cook. My grandma and great aunts all cooked in restuarants and were WONDERFUL cooks. My mother followed in their footsteps, but only cooked for her family. I learned all my familys old time secret recipes for good old time "comfort" food. I have 2 daughters, 29 and 26 and I have adopted my two grandchildren, 7 and 8 years old, trenton and lexie. They are the love of my life. I have 2 other grandchildren, trey and sarah. Trey is 2 and sarah is only 3 months old. And my best friend is "Harley Anne" my Harlequin Great Dane. Her and I have been together a long time now. She is a sweetheart and follows me all around the house. Family is a big thing with me and I try to have at least one family dinner each week with the whole gang.
I paint primitive signs in my spare time and do a few craft shows every year. I love watching paula deen and have every recipe book she has made so far....haha!
