Maple Salad Dressing

• 1 cup pure maple syrup
• 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
• 1 tablespoon lemon juice
• 1⁄2 teaspoon paprika
• 1⁄4 teaspoon celery seed
• 1⁄4 teaspoon salt
• 1⁄4 teaspoon onion powder
• 1⁄4 teaspoon mustard, ground

directions

1. Combine all ingredients in a jar with tight-fitting lid; shake well.
2. Serve over salad greens.

I didn't make any substitutions to the recipe. It was a very disappointing taste for regular garden salad. We modified our salads at the dinner table and added strawberries - that helped a lot. I think adding mandarin oranges and walnuts or cashews to the salad would be good with this dressing.
