Preheat a dry skillet over a medium-high heat. Add the walnuts, maple syrup and salt. Cook, stirring frequently, until syrup is caramelized and nuts are toasted, about 3 minutes. Let cool.
These nuts are so good! I had a hard time getting them dry enough without burning them during the time in the skillet; they were a little sticky after the 3 minutes so after they had cooled I popped them in the oven at 275 degrees for about 25 minutes - perfect! The maple flavor with the walnuts and a little salt was just delightful - thanks for sharing the recipe!

Oooooh, so quick and easy and yummy! I made this and ate it as is, then used some for a cranberry walnut slaw! I threw in some pecans too. Thanks cookie! Made for ZWT4-Fancy Feinschmeckers!

I just love these. I lost this recipe and found it again on recipezaar. Thanks cookiedog I am going to make them in a little while. By the way, these freeze very well. I am making a double batch so I can freeze some!
