Yummy lychee (from the can!) used to make a wonderful ice cream.

just to let you know this is NOT a ice cream. It is a sorbet. Ice cream is made with egg yolks and cooked in a bain maire, double boiler, until it reaches a temperature of 165 F. Then it is cooled then processed.

Directions

  1. Drain the lychees, reserving their syrup.
  2. Coarsely chop the lychee then combine all ingredients including the reserved syrup.
  3. Freeze according to the directions for your ice cream maker.
