This is from "A Hundred Years of Island Cooking", an old cookbook from the Hawaiian Electric Company. Makes a quick an easy pupu.
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 3 tablespoons flour
- 2 teaspoons dry mustard
- 1 cup pineapple juice
- 1⁄2 cup vinegar
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons soy sauce
- 1 lb cocktail smoked sausage links
- In a skillet, combine sugar, flour, mustard, pineapple juice, vinegar and soy sauce. Bring to a boil, stirring constantly, and boil 1 minute.
- Stir in sausages. Cook until heated through. Serve warm.
