- 1⁄4 cup butter, softened
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons minced fresh parsley
- 1 1⁄2 teaspoons grated lemon rind
- 1⁄8 teaspoon garlic powder
- 8 French bread, slices (3/4 in thick)
- Stir together first 4 ingredients in a small bowl. Spread about 1/2 t butter mixture on each side of each slice of bread.
- Heat a large nonstick skillet over medium high heat until hot. Add bread slices, and cook 2 minutes on each side or until toasted.
