Jello-O Chocolate Pudding Fudge

"This is a recipe I found on an advertisement from Kraft Foods. I have not tried it yet but plan to add it to the Christmas cookie tray this year. Note: Cook time equals chill time."

• Serves: 24

ingredients

• 1 (8 ounce) package BAKER'S Semi-Sweet Chocolate, divided
• 1⁄2 cup butter, divided
• 1⁄3 cup water
• 1 box jell-o chocolate instant pudding (4 serving size)
• 3 cups powdered sugar

directions

1. Microwave 4 of the chocolate squares, 6 Tbs. of butter and the water in a large microwave bowl on high 2 minutes or until butter is melted; stir.
2. Add dry pudding mix; stir until well blended.
3. Add powdered sugar, 1 cup at a time, stirring until well blended after each addition. Press into foil-lined 8-inch square pan.
4. Microwave remaining 4 chocolate squares and 2 tablespoons butter in large microwaveable bowl on high 1-1/2 minutes or until butter is melted. Stir until chocolate is completely melted. Spread over pudding mixture.
5. Refrigerate 2 hours or until firm.
6. Cut into 48 (1 inch) squares.

This is a very easy and quick fudge to put together. It is very very sweet so really small squares are needed. I thought the topping of the melted chocolate was a nice touch and gives this is a pretty top and edge when cut. Came out perfect ! Would love to try this with some chopped nuts in it next time too. Made for Potluck Tag game.
