Directions

  1. Cook bacon, reserve drippings.
  2. Saute green onions and garlic in drippings until tender.
  3. Add the potatoes, bullion, water, salt and pepper.
  4. Bring to a boil.
  5. Simmer, covered for 20 minutes, or until potatoes are tender.
  6. Whisk together milk, flour and parsley.
  7. Stir into potato mixture.
  8. Cook until thick.
  9. Add bacon and serve.

Made this pretty much as written but did cut the amount of salt back to 1/8 teaspoon since there was enough for us in the bacon & bouillon ~ Very nice tasting chowder, & this is a recipe that I'll keep on hand! Thanks for sharing it! [Tagged, made & reviewed in Healthy Choices ABC tag
