"The local bakery makes these and they are fabulous. They have been making them for over 60 years and they are the first cookies that go every morning. ***These do have to be refrigerated before baking for at least 8 hours***"

  • Cream butter and sugar.
  • Add eggs.
  • Add all dry ingredients, then vanilla and pecans.
  • Mix well.
  • Roll this mixture into 2 rolls.
  • Wrap in wax paper and refrigerate for at least 8 hours, preferably overnight.
  • Once the cookie dough has been refrigerated for the proper amount of time, unroll from the wax paper and slice into 1/4 inch slices.
  • Bake at 425 degrees on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper for 7-10 minutes.
