ingredients
- 1 cup butter
- 2 cups brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 3 1⁄2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1⁄2 teaspoon salt
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 cup pecans, finely chopped
directions
- Cream butter and sugar.
- Add eggs.
- Add all dry ingredients, then vanilla and pecans.
- Mix well.
- Roll this mixture into 2 rolls.
- Wrap in wax paper and refrigerate for at least 8 hours, preferably overnight.
- Once the cookie dough has been refrigerated for the proper amount of time, unroll from the wax paper and slice into 1/4 inch slices.
- Bake at 425 degrees on a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper for 7-10 minutes.
